Graphic Designer, Clearwater, Poughkeepsie NY. Organized and designed 60-page program for the Clearwater Music Festival, a two-day fundraising event for this influential 40-year-old environmental organization founded by Pete Seeger. (Gallery of sample pages for this program are here.) Served as media liaison during Pete Seeger’s 90th Birthday Concert at Madison Square Garden.

Work History
Sales and Advertising Account Manager, Alfa International, Armonk, NY, 11/06-Present.
Initiated Latin America print advertising campaign for this industry leader in food service equipment, wholesale and retail. Design and publish ads and eblasts. Oversee more than 400 active sales accounts, setting up new accounts, servicing and managing existing accounts and driving outside sales. Maintain and manage all Latin American, Spanish-speaking accounts.
Graphic Designer, Clearwater Environmental Organization, 11/08-Present. Worked as a volunteer and on a paid, contract basis for this respected 40-year-old environmental lobbying group. Design posters, flyers and brochures for print and for the web.
Studio Artist, St. John & Partners, Jacksonville, FL, July 2005-May 2008. Designed and animated Flash web banners for Zaxby’s, Smoothie King, PARC Management and Ford accounts. Designed online video games for Smoothie King and Advanced Disposal websites. Executed published illustrations for Zaxby’s, Clearwire, Vistakon, PARC Management and Ford accounts. Designed email blasts and newspaper and magazine ads. Designed and provided mechanicals for bifold, trifold and a wide variety of multipage pamphlets, brochures, take-ones and direct mail pieces. Organized production system and work flow for 40-market Clearwire ad campaign. Performed prepress proofing and flight-check for production and publication. Designed and produced outdoor boards and POS collateral as well as a wide variety of as nontraditional advertising media: bus wraps, doorhangers and dry-cleaner bags.
Bar Manager, Sheraton Hotel, Miami, August 2002-August 2005. Responsible for all service and daily receipts for this popular, high-volume, full-service bar.
Producer/Co-Host, The Breakfast Show, April 1997-July 2002, a drive-time talk show with Siglo News Executive Editor Peter Aras, for Infinita FM100, Guatemala City. Produced skits, ads, promos. Went from zero sponsors to full sponsorship by the following: United Airlines, Xerox, Bayer, Mitsubishi, Inguat, Telgua, Bell South, Sizzler Steakhouse, Jake’s Restaurant, Caniz Van Lines and the Quinta Real Hotel.
Managing Editor, The Guatemala Post, Guatemala May 2000-June 2003. Responsible for the selection, editing and copyediting of all content. Sold and designed ads, kept accounts for all contracts, distribution, and receivables. During my tenure at The Guatemala Post, ad coverage grew from 11/4 to 4 pages, and the newspaper went into the black for the first time.
Editor, The Siglo News, Guatemala City, Guatemala November 1998-November1999. Coordinated staff assignments and freelance contributions, instituted formats, deadlines and standards, oversaw publication, wrote movie reviews and editorials, executed in-house ad campaigns. During my tenure at The Siglo News circulation increased from 8,000 to 12,000 and ad coverage grew from 3.5 to 6 pages.
